Brankin Engineering Ltd: an insight into the manufacturing of our ventilation ductwork

28 Aug 2019

Once a duct part is drawn in CAD it is exported to our CAM system, the part is then downloaded to the plasma cutter to produce the various patterns required for that component.

The fabricator will then follow the machine and assembly instructions adhered to the plasma cut profile, using this information to form the required component. This will require the use of other items of machinery i.e. brake press, roll former and spot welder.

Finally, the fabricator assembles the parts to produce the finished component ready for dispatch. We follow a strict QA procedure to ensure all of our ductwork parts are manufactured in accordance with our industry bodies and regulators; ensuring the highest quality ductwork is issued to our sites.
